Melon supports Warwick School’s Higher Education & Careers Fair

Warwick Fair

Leamington Spa based Melon Communications were delighted to receive an invitation to exhibit at the higher education and careers fair at Warwick School, Myton Road, Warwick on the evening of 30 April 2015. The school were particularly looking for media companies to help which is why Melon had been approached.

Joined by more than 90 exhibitors representing different universities, gap year providers and career sectors, we were pleased to offer straight forward no-nonsense advice to Warwick School and Kings High School students with their parents.
The careers fair which is held every two years ran from 6.30-9.30pm, pupils and parents from year 10 upwards were invited from Warwick and Kings High School. Questions from pupils included what does the job involve, what is the best way to get into the media sector, which degrees and qualifications are best for me to do and what experience do I need?

Helen Toomey Hesk, MD at Melon said ‘having as much information as possible is vital to help students make the best decisions for their future career. It was wonderful to get feedback from one student who commented that we had opened her eyes. We were careful to balance the positives and negatives to give a realistic summary of working in the media industry.’

Melon mingled with many other businesses exhibiting including our friends at Millward Brown, Triggerfish, Emerald IT, Radiant Worlds and Leamington Business Forum.
