Melon Communications founder Helen Hesk has won ‘Business Person of the Year’ award in Touch FM Pride of Warwick District Awards 2014. The Pride of Warwick District Awards supported by Phillips 66, celebrate the best achievements in the local business and community by awarding individuals, community organisations and businesses with truly inspirational stories.

From more than 150 entries Helen was shortlisted to the final four individuals in the ‘Business Person of the Year’ category. The winners were announced at a glittering awards ceremony held on Friday 4th July at The Chesford Grange Hotel in Kenilworth. The judges were Steve Orchard of Touch FM, Jo Jelley of Phillips 66 Ltd and Jeff Hunt from the Federation of Small Businesses.

Helen who founded the Leamington Spa based PR and Marketing consultancy in 2012, said ‘I am overjoyed to have received this recognition. It celebrates establishing a business in the economic downturn and steering its growth from strength to strength. We have a vibrant social media community in the Warwick District which encourages local businesses to network and flourish.  I was extremely proud to have been selected along with 3 other notable business people; to win the award was a complete surprise’.
